A DRUNKEN father-of-six who continually stalked his former partner has been locked up for 28 days.
Howard William Crabtree (43) was awaiting sentence for flouting a non-molestation order, taken out by his long-suffering ex-girlfriend, on three occasions, when he struck again four times over the Christmas period.
Burnley Magistrates’ Court heard how Crabtree, who wanted to see his children, had created fear and they were present at the time.
Crabtree, of Leyland Road, Burnley, admitted breaching the order seven times.
He was also given a 12-month restraining order, banning him from contacting the victim and he must now see a solicitor to arrange contact with his children.
The bench told the defendant that he was not prepared to take notice of court orders and his behaviour was persistent.
The chairman told him: “There comes a time when enough is enough and the only way we can deal with you is to send you to custody. Let’s hope it will be a short, sharp shock for you.”
