A 21 year old disqualified driver reached speeds of 100 mph during a police chase which started in Manchester Road, Burnley.
Blackburn magistrates heard the car was driven at 90 mph in a 40 mph zone and went through a red light at 60 mph.
When it reached 100 mph in a 50 mph zone the officer decided it was too dangerous to continue the chase.
Wajid Khan (21), of Kent Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance and failing to stop when required by a police officer.
He was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced on July 14th.
Rachel Cleary (defending) said Khan was already serving a custodial sentence for drugs and very similar motoring offences.
“Its unfortunate these offences were not dealt with at the same time,” said Mrs Cleary.
