The following incidents have been reported to Burnley Police:

A man has been charged for burglary after breaking into Burnley Football Club in broad daylight.

Christian Wheadon (24), of Browsholme Avenue, will appear in front of Burnley magistrates today (Friday).

He is believed to have forced entry into the club, on Turf Moor, using bodily force, on August 22nd at 6-10pm, and taken a flat screen television from the wall.

He then left the scene on a motorbike, and was later arrested. The whole incident was captured on CCTV.

Wheadon was also charged for a burglary on Albert Street earlier in the day.

In this incident, he is said to have targeted the property at 2-15pm, but left with nothing.

A Burnley ironsmiths has been targeted by burglars.

B Rourke & Co, on Accrington Road, was approached on August 23rd, between 12-10am and 12-25am.

It is believed the offenders broke into the compound, stole some keys, and got into a vehicle.

They have then proceeded to drive the vehicle at some shutter doors, to make them open.

A Mercedes Sprinter Lorry, worth £5,000, has been taken. The vehicle’s registration is YX04 MKL.

A variety of tools have been taken from Burnley allotments.

Burglars targeted the Netherwood Road allotments between August 19th and August 20th.

Stolen property was worth approximately £855.

A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after an assault in Barcode town centre.

The incident happened at 3am this morning (Friday).

The offender, described as being a white man wearing a white T-shirt, white watch or wristband, and white trainers with white lacing and piping, is believed to have punched the aggrieved in the head, knocking him to the floor.

He then made off undetected.
