A community day with a difference was held at a Burnley church to raise awarenss of various help groups in the town.
Burnley United Reformed Church in Bethesda Street invited 16 organisations to come and set up stalls to advertise their services.
These included the Parkinson’s Society, the Community Solutions food bank, the Talking Newspaper and the British Red Cross.
Church member Mrs Marjorie Dunderdale said: “We wanted to give groups the opportunity to advertise the services they offer.
“There is lots of help available for all kinds of problems but quite often people don’t realise until they really need it. We wanted to raise awareness of all the great organisations in town.”
The Bethany Girls Choir, a group of trainee teachers from Tanzania, provided a musical backdrop to the event.
