Charity night went like a dream

A former member of the top 60s band Freddie and the Dreamers belted out some top 60s hits at a charity event hosted by a Junior Church Queen.

Mike Quinn, who was bass guitarist and sang backing vocals with the band that was fronted by Freddie Garrity, was on stage at Lowerhouse Cricket Club in Burnley.

The Musical Tribute to the 60s was organised by Estelle Pollard-Cox who is the junior queen at All Saints Church with St John's, Habergham.

During her reign she has spent months organising events to raise money for her chosen charity, Pendleside Hospice.

The event featuring Mike raised £300 which will be split between the church and the hospice.
