A charity abseil in memory of a Burnley woman has raised £3,960 for Pendleside Hospice.
The abseil, which was organised to remember Alisa Woodvine who died in January just short of her 55th birthday, took place at Ilkley Quarry.
Some 16 people completed the 4,000ft abseil, which was organised by Laura Woodvine. Fellow abseiler, Nikki Barton, said: “All of Ailsas family and friends find it hard to believe that she’s no longer here because she was such a vibrant, fun loving and positive person.
The only thing that made what happened to Ailsa bearable was that her family and friends supported each other, as well as Ailsa, but also that her last two weeks were spent in Pendleside Hospice.”
