Teenagers at Unity College are giving children in other parts of the world a helping hand this Christmas.

Over the last few months pupils in North House have amassed an impressive array of school supplies, toys, gifts and hygiene items to fill a collection of shoeboxes for children coping with war, poverty, disease, and natural disaster.

They are sending 45 boxes to the charity running the scheme, and each has a personal card or letter for the child receiving the parcel. The teenagers also found time to raise £135 to cover postage costs.
