Careers insight for primary school pupils

Children at St John CE Primary School in Cliviger were given a special careers insight.

Representatives from a variety of professions including the police, Department of Works and Pensions, the National Health Service and education visited the Burnley Road school to give Year 6 pupils a taste of what their jobs entail.

The careers carousel event was organised by The Job Junction withthe aim of raising the aspirations of youngsters of primary school age. Managing director Lesley Burrows said: “I developed the programme to give young people the chance to be everything they deserve to be and it makes me hugely proud to see it in action.
