As part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ campaign, on Friday, September 30th St James’ Lanehead Primary School in Burnley, held a coffee morning in order to raise funds for the charity.

Parents, staff, and governors alike baked and donated cakes and buns for the event, which were then sold to help raise money for a more than worthy cause.

St James’ proudly raised a grand total of £313.15 for the Macmillan charity, with Miss Stott, the Head Teacher, also thanking Farmhouse Biscuits for donating delicious biscuits for the children to buy.

Across the UK, the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ raised over £2.2million. The charity’s first ever coffee morning took place in 1990, with the initiative having raised £138million in total in the last 26 years.
