Around 50 people tucked into a three-course meal at the Cellar Restaurant in Padiham and raised a sizeable sum for the Mayor of Burnley’s charity appeal.

The Mayor, Coun. Frank Cant, and his Mayoress Gillian joined members of the Mayoress’s Committee and guests at the fund-raising evening hosted by the popular restaurant.

After a delicious meal, friendly chat, stand up bingo and a raffle the evening had raised more than £460 for the Mayor’s appeal for the North-West Air Ambulance. Thanks were given to the restaurant proprietors and organisers Julie Redfern and Carol Stinton, members of the Mayoress’s Committee.
