A long-standing Burnley business has moved to new premises.

Balmer’s has relocated from its home in Trafalgar Street to Dunnockshaw as the turf care machinery business is expanding.

It was set up by David Balmer in 1979 as Burnley Garden Machinery and originally traded from behind Vincent’s Garden Centre in Towneley.

It moved to Royle Road in the early 1980s, before moving to Trafalgar Street in the mid 1980’s.

Balmers is now the largest dealer of second hand ground care equipment in the country as well as being main dealers for John Deere and Stihl. It employs more than 35 full time staff.
