Its head office in Burnley controls all aspects and running of the stores and is home to a number of departments including buying, merchandising, human resources, marketing, distribution, accounts and property.
Mr Tim Webber, Managing Director at Barnfield Construction Ltd is pleased to see the completion of the deal. He said: “We previously owned all of the land the head office is situated on, having built the unit for Vita Achter some years previously, but sold a proportion three years ago to Alpinemoor Pension Fund. To complete the deal with The Original Factory Shop, Barnfield Construction reacquired 40,000 sq ft of warehousing and associated land at the site. We are delighted with the outcome of this agreement.”
Mr Gareth Hutchinson, Financial Director of the Factory Shop says: “We are very pleased to be working with Barnfield Construction for this vital part of our expansion. We are committed to investing in the region and employing locally where we can. We look forward to working closely on the project over the coming months.”
