Children and staff at Brunshaw Primary School are celebrating after they won 10 fantastic Acer tablet computers courtesy of the Burnley Express and P3 Computes.
The school rallied its community of children, staff, parents and family to collect as many vouchers as possible that were printed every Tuesday and Friday in the Burnley Express.
Headteacher Mrs Emma McNicoll said: “Winning these computers is absolutely brilliant news and will make a big difference to our lessons.
“Computers are used across the curriculum every day in every lesson. At the moment our pupils book out a laptop but this means we can have them in a classroom all the time. The tablets are very cutting edge so this is a big boost to us.”
Mrs McNicoll thanked everyone involved.
She added: “I would like to pay a particular thank you to Alison Graham, our school secretary, for rallying the troops as she does every year.
“We had a box set up in school for the vouchers to be deposited in and Mrs Graham worked hard to get the vouchers collected. I would also like to thank the Burnley Express and P3 Computers for their wonderful donation.”
