KIND-HEARTED staff at a veterinary surgery in Burnley have raised £675.34 for an animal charity.

The cash, for the East Lancashire branch of Prevent Unwanted Pets (PUP), was raised by employees at Oakmount Vets in Trafalgar Street over Christmas.

They presented the cheque to Mrs Brenda Hayman from the charity, which helps to re-home pets and arranges and pays for the neutering of animals when owners are unable to pay for the procedure.
