A TEENAGED TV star from Burnley has become one of the housemates on the new series of Big Brother which kicked off last night.
Lucien Laviscount, who stars as Jonah Kirby in hit BBC1 school drama Waterloo Road, took his place in the house alongside Hollywood actress Tara Reid and former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona.
Ex-Coronation Street actor Lucien, who grew up in Read, has already been installed as one of the bookies favourites to win the show with William Hill offering odds of 9/2 behind X Factor pop twins Jedward and The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs at 3/1.
The former Ribblesdale High School pupil has proved a huge hit with fans of the show which moved to Channel 5 this year and thousands of messages of support have been posted on social networking site Twitter.
Other stars of the show include Paddy Doherty, of Channel 4’s My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, photo agency boss Darryn Lyons, David Hasselhoff’s former wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff, model Bobby Sabel and Sally Bercow, whose husband John is the Speaker of the House of Commons.
