TWO Burnley sisters are among the first to complete a new reading challenge set by the Burnley Express.

Aleeza Fazil (10) and her little sister Adeena, who is seven, have both completed the Lancashire Reading Trail, formerly Relay Readers, by leafing their way through 50 books each and reviewing them along the way. The sisters were each presented with a gold certificate and a £10 book token, having already achieved their bronze and silver awards. The girls, who both attend Barden Primary School, also collected cards relating to places of interest in Lancashire wth trail tasks to complete. And for every book read the girls received a sticker.

Aleeza, whose favourite authors are Michael Morpurgo and Daisy Meadow and Adeena, who likes Julia Donaldson books, both completed their challenge at Barden Campus Library in Burnley.
