Burnley residents will get the chance to put forward their questions to some of the town’s key figures.

Burnley Borough Council leader Julie Cooper, MP Gordon Birtwistle and representatives from the police, public health and youth work sectors will make up the panel for the “Question Time” event, organised by Burnley Action Partnership. The panel will be chaired by Simon Brierley, the managing director of 2BR Radio.

The event takes place from 6-30pm on Thursday, October 10th at the Visions Learning Trust University Technical College, at Victoria Mill, Trafalgar Street.

Mike Waite, from the council, said: “Everybody is welcome at this evening event. It’s a great opportunity to put your questions and ideas directly to top decision makers. People are welcome just to come along on the night and join in the debate and discussion.

“People can also register in advance to have the chance to ask one of the main questions on the evening.”

Doors are open from 5-30pm, with registration from 6pm. For more details, ring the Community Engagement Team on 01282 477112 or email communityengagement@burnley.gov.uk.
