A ballet, tap and jazz show called “Everybody Dance Now” staged by dancers from the Sanderson Dance Centre raised £2,150 for Pendleside Hospice.

Children from the dance school aged between four and 17 participated in the show at Burnley Mechanics and more than 800 tickets were sold. Organiser Lynn McCheyne, head of the ballet, tap and jazz department at Sanderson Dance Centre, said: “We really wanted the girls to gain some stage experience and the feedback from them all after the show was excellent. They really enjoyed it.”

Leah Mitchell, fund-raiser for Pendleside Hospice, said: “Well done to all the dancers involved for putting on such a fabulous show and helping to raise such a fantastic amount of money for the hospice.”
