Burnley crime file - Thursday July 5th

The following incidents have been reported to Burnley police:

Over £700 worth of items have been stolen from a bungalow in Padiham.

The house, on Norfolk Street, was targeted on July 3rd at 2-30pm.

It is believed the offender smashed a glass panel in the porch and climbed into the property.

The whole house was searched, and a burgundy Toshiba laptop, and two gold rings were stolen. The items were worth a total of £749.

A witness at the scene has described the offender as a white man, of approximately 173cm in height, with short sandy hair.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, and a blue hoodie.

A CAR that was parked in Burnley has had its front and back windows smashed.

The silver Volkswagen Golf, with the registration S79 RHH, was parked on Piccadilly Road when it was targeted between 10-30pm on July 4th and 6am on July 5th.

The offender threw a brick at the car, causing £400 worth of damage.
