Body of our soldier killed in Afghanistan comes home

THIS is surely the saddest image of the week.

The body of Lance Corporal Michael Foley is flown home, with military honours, to the United Kingdom.

The Burnley-born soldier, who was educated in Barrowford and Colne, was killed this week by a rogue member of the Afghan National Army while on guard duty.

He leaves his beloved wife, Sophie, and three young children, Calum, Warren and Jake; as well as parents, Craig and Debbie, sister, Lisa and brother, Jordan.
