On Friday, March 10th, to mark the end of National Apprenticeship Week, the apprentices held a Celebration Coffee Morning at Crow Wood Court with residents to enjoy cakes and tea aplenty.

Games and prizes followed, with nine apprentices from Calico Careers’ Constructing the Future programme on hand to coordinate the numerous games of bingo.

Suraiya Akram, Neighbourhood Apprentice at Calico Homes, said: “It was great to be a part of National Apprenticeship Week as I got to meet other apprentices from across the Group, as well as being able to give something back to our older customers. I think they really appreciated the coffee morning and games of bingo, even asking if we would be back next week!”

Stuart Graham, Head of Skills and Employability, Calico Enterprise said: “This has been a great experience for our apprentices, and it has been a fantastic opportunity for them to get to know the wider business and our customers. We would like to thank all of the apprentices and customers that have taken part in the activities.”
