A LITTLE beauty queen from Burnley is preparing to strut her stuff in one of the world’s biggest competitions.

American based Universal Royal Beauty Pageant is coming to the UK later this year and Tia Neve Wilkinson will be among one of the first entrants.

And judging by her success so far, even though she is only three, Tia could be one of the hot favourites.

She swept the board recently at the Miss Natural Sparkle contest, winning the tiny category and she was also judged as the Most Beautiful with the Best Personality.

Tia’s proud mum Becky of Higher Tentre said: “There is a lot of excitement about the American pageant because it is coming to this country. It really is the pageant to end all pageants.’’

Becky has been involved in some of the promotion work for the contest which features on Sky TV’s hit show “Toddlers and Tiaras.’’ The fly on the wall documentary follows dozens of tiny tots as they prepare to compete in the pageants. Becky added: “Tia is really looing forward to taking part, it will be a great experience for her.’’

Along with competing in the pageants Tia also raises money for charity and she has raised a couple of hundred pounds for the Rainbow Trust charity that offers support to families with terminally ill children. Tia, who has a big brother Owen (9) entered her first competition at the age of two and she is now a regular competitior at shows all over the country. Becky has become a dab hand at making the fabulous costumes and dresses that allow Tia to star as a parade of characters including Wonder Woman and Tinkerbell. Tia is also a keen little dancer with a couple of routines under her belt.
