The popular networking and training event The HR Exchange is heading to Burnley for the first time in its five-year history.
The focus of the event, at Burnley College on Thursday September 15th, will be employee performance management.
Jointly organised by Taylors Solicitors and AFR Consulting, organisers are urging people to book their place well in advance as the most recent event in the series was fully booked.
Elaine Hurn of Taylors said: “The HR Exchange has built up a great reputation over the years from both training and an opportunity to network with other HR Professionals.
“The events are regularly oversubscribed and so to avoid disappointment we are extending our reach. We are delighted to be coming to Burnley for the first time.
“We are delighted to have Neal Chamberlain, who heads the people and organisation consultancy, A1 Performance Consulting, whose presentation will focus on appraisals.”
Peter Byrne, a Partner at Taylor Solicitors and head of its employment law team, will put the spotlight on key legal aspects employers need to keep in mind when managing employee performance and encouraging and achieving improvement.
He said: “Businesses need to be aware that there are key legal and practical steps they need to take when following a formal performance improvement process.”
