THE votes are in, the judges have deliberated and the 10 acts have now been chosen to perform in the grand live final of Burnley’s Got Talent.
After two audition rounds and the dreaded boot camp stage when the judges whittled down a huge number of hopefuls, the vote for who would appear in the final went to an online public vote.
Judges including organiser Raynor Pepper and representatives from the Burnley Express, 2BR, Koko’s and Pendleside Hospice, selected 20 acts who the public have been voting for online – and raising funds for the hospice.
The eight acts who received the most votes for the public were duet Double Generation, East Lancs School of Dance Senior Troupe, indie band Vienna Waiting, and solo singers Jess McGlinchey, Rhiain Thornton, Ian Wright, Paul Rostron and Jodie Woods.
The two “wildcards” chosen by the judges were singer Kayleigh Bannatyne and band The Swamp Donkeys.
Raynor said: “The overall reaction was very good and it’s shaping up to be a fabulous show offering the best entertainment in Burnley. I am pleased for everyone who has made it through and it’s such a shame we couldn’t put them all into the live show as they were all first class.”
The final takes place at the Burnley Mechanics on Sunday, November 25th. Book early to avoid disappointment. For tickets call the box office on 01282 664400.
