THE 30th team of young people who gained better employment prospects through the Prince's Trust in Pendle held a farewell presentation evening at the New Life Christian Centre, Colne.

The project is run by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and team leader was Mrs Sonya Colley.

Team 30 carried out a series of community projects including creating a garden area at Pendle Community Hospital, Nelson, and organising a trip for elderly residents from Peel Gardens, Colne. They also took children from the Toddle In Nursery, Colne, to Likkle Monkeys play centre.

Eight students successfully completed the three-month course. They were Terry Hartley, Megan Hope, Nathan Dowling, Steph Clegg, Jamie Readman, Stacey Nolan, Jamie Smith and Declan Lee.

The next team starts on September 8th.

Sonya said: "We are looking for community projects to become involved in and I would ask anyone who needs help to ring my mobile – 07900 268705."
