NELSON golfer Shaun Field became the fourth winner of the Nelson Masters on Saturday.
All medal winners from Saturday events throughout the season qualified for the Masters.

And Field led them home to win his first "board" competition with a round of 71-4-67 to reduce his handicap to three.

John Lewis, 2007 captain and Nelson, donated a new trophy for the Masters Medal, which was contested on the same day.

And Lee Curwen had the lowest round of his golfing career with 66-6-60 to win by five shots.

John Boyd made a welcome return to form with 74-9-65 to take second by a shot from scratch golfer Nick Uttley, who also shot a gross 66.

Martin Spiers had his handicap reduced back to two after winning the 0-12 category with a round of 69-3-66, Stephen Redmond returned 82-16-66 to win the 13-28 category, and Order of Merit winner Steve Emery carded 72 for the gross prize.
