SHAUN Field beat the course to win the Guinness Goblet at Nelson Golf Club on Saturday.
His one-under-par score of 69 earned him a nett 65 and a two-shot win.

Russell Langston (80-13-67) won a multiple card play-off to take second spot from Rod Naylor (87-20-67), club captain Stuart King (79-12-67) took the 0-12 division with John Duxbury (83-15-68) claiming the 13-28 prize and Paul Greenwood carded 72 for the gross prize.

The event was also the qualifying round for the ELGA Handicap Trophy to be played at Darwen later this month.

Nelson will be represented by the captain, Field, Langston and Duxbury.
