THE quartet of David Harrison, Tommy Patton, Peter Witt and Dave Lavin will represent Towneley in the ELGA Handicap Finals at Darwen next month.
When the qualifier was contested on Saturday, Harrison led them home with an impressive 78-12-66 and teenager Patton (75-9-66) was unlucky to be edged out on the card.

Witt (87-20-67) continued his good run of form to come third and Lavin's 73-6-67 was good enough to see him complete the line-up and win the gross prize.

Alan Threadgould, one of the club's more senior members, was nearest the pin on the 8th hole and on Grand National Day Jim Fitton won by a nose on the 17th.

S. Walker and M. Ridgway totalled 41 points to win the Fourball Knockout qualifier at Burnley GC.

S. Duxbury and D. Jennings (40) were second and those who scored 35 points qualified for the matchplay stages of the competition.
