PHIL Mayor celebrated his President's Day at Ghyll on Sunday.
And, as he said during the presentation in the evening, many people helped make it such a wonderful occasion which was enjoyed by everyone.
The winner, second and third placed players all scored 40 points, and all came from Earby!

Neville Lawson was the man of the moment, taking the prize from two in-form players, Peter Ashton, second, and Andrew Harling third on a card play-off.

Stephen Shorrock came fourth, and David Cockell fifth, both with 38 points.

The pick of the seniors went to David Dalby, also on 38 points.

John Blackmore took the front nine prize with a great 23 points, while, after a five card play-off, Gary Harper took the back nine with 20 points. Sean Grace won the middle six.

Kevin Whittingham was closest to the pin on Curlew's Cry hole, beating Alan Garrick by ½ inch! Young at heart, Eric Hepworth was nearest the pin on the 19th hole.

On Saturday, the juniors contested the president's prize, and after coming third in the same competition last year, and second on Junior Captain's Day, Brandon Cocker secured his first win.

Warren Beaty came second, with Courtney Kegg third.
