MICHAEL Cook won the Tom Morris Putter competition at Clitheroe Golf Club by one shot after 36 holes.
David Brown was the only competitor to feature on the first round leaderboard and appear on the winners' rostrum.
However, he missed out on top spot to Cook by one shot after his impressive 141 aggregate gave him the trophy.
Another prominent Brown, Malcolm, posted a 144 total for third place with a one shot margin over Ralph Postlethwaite and David McKenzie.
Malcolm Goldsworthy headed round one with an impressive nett 65 and Andrew Heesom's 73 gave him the best gross.
Alex Taylor had a red letter day for the second round when his nett 68 gave him a three-shot advantage over Ralph Postlethwaite.
Michael O'Malley and his namesake Cook both posted nett 71s to take third and fourth ahead of the steady Chris Vines.
