Marc Arnold returned 71-9-62 to win the Professional's Competition at Nelson.
But he needed a card play-off to edge out Martin Greenwood (86-24-62) with Graham Fothergill returning 74-11-63 to take third place.

Alan Bate (76-11-65) and Derek Davies (81-16-65) won the category prizes, Steve Duerden (70) carded the best gross and nearest-the-pin awards went to Rob Beecham and Shaun Field.

Field then partnered Betty Dixon (81-11-70) to first place in the ELGA Mixed Foursomes qualifier.

Ian and Alison Short (84-11-73) were runners-up by the narrowest of margins from John and Jean Lewis (97-23.5-73.5).
