Lady captain Cheryl King had her big day at Nelson Golf Club on Thursday, with a 27-hole competition taking centre stage.
Kate Dennis (152-39-113) won that event by a shot from Pam Pickles (141-27-114), with Lynne Grandfield (36.5) winning the prize for the last nine holes on the card from Margaret Taylor.

Prizes in the 18 hole competition went to Vena Eastwood (96-20-76), Christine Haythornthwaite (102-27-75) and Janice Varley (104-32-72) and the "hidden holes" prize went to Janet Sharpe.

Gail Clifford and Marie Waterworth won the nearest-the-pin awards and Tracy Sanderson won the nine-hole stableford after a card play-off with Kathryn Briscoe.
