Karen wins Captain's Day

PAT BRENNAN handed each competitior a personalised golf ball as they teed-off in her Lady Captain's Day at Clitheroe Golf Club.
The event was blessed with glorious weather, and after an enjoyable meal, the lady captain presented prizes to successful contestants.

Karen Stanworth (87-18-69) was the winner by two shots from Emma Clegg (75-4-71), with Sarah Walton's 75 winning the gross prize.

Norma Hoyle won the nine-hole stableford, Debbie Catlow and Elaine Bennett won the putting competitions and Barbara Thornton was nearest the pin on the fifth hole.
