FORMER Nelson cricketer Jason Warwick recorded a double golfing triumph at the weekend.
On Saturday he partnered his father, Peter, to success in the Trevor Sunderland Cup at Nelson.
And the following day he teamed-up with another former Seedhill star, Trevor Kegg, to win Invitation Day at Ghyll.

A card play-off was required to separate the top three teams, who all returned 40 points in the Ghyll event.

Kegg and Warwick emerged victorious from the pairings of Ivan Shackleton and Z. Cutler and D. Dalby and J. Breckon respectively.

But the Warwicks did not need a play-off to win the Nelson event.

They carded 45 points to win by one from Paul Thomason and Graham Smith, who took second spot after a card play-off with Neil Thomas and Peter Howarth.

The following day Derek Davies and Geoff Butterworth (Marsden Park) were clear winners of the Invitation Day at Nelson when they amassed 46 points.

That saw them finish four clear of Ryan Curwen and Chris Noonan (Burnley).

David Wadsworth and Chris Wright (Skipton) totalled 41 points to take third spot from Graham Driver and Andy Westwell (Pleasington) on the card.
