BARROWFORD Celtic received a financial boost from Daisy Communications towards their new floodlights.
Daisy's annual golf day at Clitheroe GC helped raise £1,500 for both Celtic and The Prince's Trust.

Business partners, resellers and associates of the company swapped the office for the fairway, as more than 40 keen golfers took part in a 27-hole event to help raise money for daisy's nominated charities.

As well as overall team performance, competition was rife for longest drive, nearest the pin and best individual performance.

There was also the awarding of the obligatory wooden spoon for the day's worst performer.

Surprising Barrowford Celtic club secretary Bob Flounders with the donation, Daisy commercial director Tony Dixon said: "Both of our nominated charities do an awful amount of work with young people in the area.

"While The Prince's Trust is quite well publicised, it is worth remembering the work that Barrowford Celtic does with sportspeople in Pendle."

Accepting the cheque, Flounders said the money would pay for the club's new floodlights, and would attract more youngsters to the football club.
Daisy thank sponsors the Bank of Scotland, Ernst and Young, PWC, Cable and Wireless, BT Wholesale, BT Openreach, Eversheds, Griffin and Coutts.
