ANOTHER play-off will be needed to decide the outcome of one of Burnley Golf Club's major championships.
The previous weekend Darren Hazelgrove and Martin Metcalfe tied at the top of the Glen View Trophy leaderboard.

And in keeping with long-standing tradition, the outcome will now be decided by a play-off on the course rather than a card play-off.

The same will now have to happen to decide the winner of the Shuttleworth Cup.

The 36-hole event was played on Saturday and saw Graham Howarth and ELGA Harold Ryden winner Gary Blades tied for top spot with level-par gross scores of 138.

A play-off will now follow to decide the winner as Carl Parker settle for third place three shots back.

The same day saw the Veterans Cup and the club's secretary-manager Malcolm Wills lead them home with a score of 78-12-66.

He finished a shot clear of Alan Evans (79-12-67), David Hughes (76) won the gross prize and Michael Noonan (88-18-70) was the pick of the Over 65s.

And the Midweek Medal saw John Griffiths (90-26-64) take first spot on cards from Steve Tattersall (76-12-64) as former club captain Kim Stevens highlighted the day with a hole-in-one at the 14th.
