CLITHEROE Golf Club's 36-hole Championship produced a new name on the trophy after a tight finish and a four hole play-off.
Four competitors finished within one shot after the two rounds, as previous champion Mark Ashworth missed out by one shot.

Ashworth posted a 152 aggregate, but young Andrew Heesom, with the same score and a better second leg, pipped him for third prize.

Top of the shop with a one-shot advantage were one handicap Nathan Dunn and four handicap Andrew Henderson.

Dunn dropped a shot at the tricky par three 17th which effectively cost him the championship, because Henderson birdied the 18th to force a play-off.

Dunn started the stronger on the deciding four holes, but Henderson kept his composure to become Club Champion.

Daniel Preedy took the best first round gross, and Alan Gillespie the second round prize.
