'Tartan Express' rolls on!
EIGHTEEN-year-old Andrew Miller continues to go from strength to strength at Towneley Golf Club.
On Saturday the "Tartan Express" won his fourth major of the season by capturing the Towneley Chalice with a score of 67-5-62 in difficult conditions.
"Hamish", as he is affectionately known at the club, is an assistant greenkeeper at Clitheroe GC and adds the prestigious Chalice to the Grimshaw Cup, Club Championship and Scratch Matchplay titles he won earlier in the season.
Andrew Swindells carded 80-14-66 to claim second spot Steve "The Power" Turner won the gross prize with a round of 71.
Turner also won the nearest the pin prize on the eighth hole when his ball came to rest just over a foot from the hole. Chris Clough claimed the similar prize with his tee shot at the 17th.
