Eighteen-year-old Andrew Miller was in tremendous form to win Towneley's first major of the season.
The young Scot, affectionately known as Hamish who is the assitant greenkeeper at Clitheroe, came in with an excellent card of +6 in the bogey competition to win the Grimshaw Cup.

Last year's captain, Anthony Hargreaves, was runner-up on +2.
David Horan and Derek Hall were in fine form in the Handicap Cup as both returned scores of +4, the former getting the nod on the card play-off as nearest-the-pin awards went to Dave Windle and Colin Cavanagh.

Steve Wyatt claimed the Midweek Stableford prize for the second week running with 38 points, beating Bill McLellan on a card play-off.
