Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival hits Colne: Photo special

Waiting for Video...

Thousands of people descended on Colne over the Bank Holiday weekend for the 23rd annual Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival.

Voted the Best British Blues Festival in 2011 at the British Blues Awards by fans themselves, the festival certainly lived up to that accolade with another storming line-up to suit all musical tastes including the likes of Joan Armatrading, Booker T. Jones, Mungo Jerry, The Blues Band, Courtney Pine and many, many more.

And while the weather may have been wet and breezy on three of the four days, it was the music which left festival-goers blown away, particularly on Sunday when the sun shone and the streets came alive with music fans soaking up the rays and the sensational atmosphere.
