Burnley barber and bookies bet on Euro 2012 for charity
A BURNLEY barber and a bookmakers have teamed up to help out Pendleside Hospice during Euro 2012.
Baron Laird, who owns Jazzman Grooves in Bull Street, has been offered a £60 free bet from Burnley Ladbrokes for him and his two employees to place bets during the football tournament.
Any winnings will be donated to Pendleside Hospice.
Baron said: “I go in Ladbrokes quite a bit and they very kindly offered this bet to me and the two lads at my shop.
“We have £20 each to bet and any winnings will be donated to the hospice. I have gone for England to win the tournament at 10-1.
“Nathan Sudderick has bet on Ashley Young to be England’s top goalscorer and Adam Doney has picked Karim Benzema to be the tournament top scorer at 11-1.”
And just in case the lads’ bets don’t come up, Baron has said he will donate £60 to the hospice out of his own pocket.
