Cornfield fishing very well

Cornfield Farm seems to be fishing quite well according to the results this week.

On Wednesday, the Cornfield Open was won by P. Holmes (72-12-0) from M. Dewhurst (57-2-0) and D. Price (37-12-0).

Sunday’s result saw W. Elcock finish first with 61-14-0, ahead of M. Dewhurst (43-14-0) and G. Holland (39-15-0).

There was a win for D. Wells (39-14-0), from P. Holmes (39-1-0) and R. O’Sullivan (34-4-0).

The Lowerhouse Lodge members-only match was won by P. Parkinson (75-9-0) with A. Harrison (62-6-0) second and J. Smith (45-2-0) third.

Bailiff Mick Sowerby landed a beautiful conditioned bream last week, pulling the scale round to 11-6-0 on the lodge.

Could I please remind all anglers on Lowerhouse Lodge to fish from the pegs provided, and not between pegs.

And definitely no fishing between peg 27 and the chain in the bay.

If seen you will be asked to leave this fishery by all bailiffs.

Padiham Tackle is now open Sunday mornings for all your needs.

Wayne Preston will be starting the junior teach-ins on May 10th, at Cornfield Farm, fish from 6-8 p.m. for £2.
