Tots, staff and parents buried a time capsule to mark the 25th anniversary at Le Monde Petit Nursery – and even added a copy of our very own Burnley Express!

Nursery founder and owner Peter Hindle came up with the idea of a time capsule to record this landmark at the Bank Parade nursery.

Mr Hindle said: “In the capsule were pictures created by our children along with photographs of some of our children, a letter informing the future generation all about our life in 2015, a little bit about current world new and Friday’s Burnley Express.

“There was also pictures and introductions to the staff team at Le Monde Petit Nursery (LMP), what it’s like for a child on a typical day at LMP and quotes from some of the children about what they want to do when they grow up.”

The capsule will be opened in May 2040 and then staff can see if the current generation at LMP have fulfilled their dreams.

Dominic Dunn (4) stated: “I want to make toys – Spiderman toys,” while Miley-Rose Wilkinson (2) said she wanted to sing ‘Let it Go’ for ever. Amelia-Grace Gardner’s (2) ambition is “I want to walk dogs” and Isaac Howorth (4) said: “I just want to work, build houses and drive cars.”
