A FOOD and drink festival showcasing some of the area’s best produce will be held on Sunday.

King Henry VI bottled water from Bolton-by-Bowland is just one of the local producers which will be at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Accrington, from 10-30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Stalls selling ostrich burgers, game pies, stew, sausages and soups will be available, alongside a traditional ice cream cart, plus stalls selling cupcakes, warm sticky toffee puddings and cakes.

There will also be guided historic tours of the 700-year-old Dunkenhalgh Hotel, wine tastings and tutorials by the Lancashire Wine School, demonstrations by Horus Birds of Prey and face painting.

The festival has been organised by Matthew Williamson and Susannah Holden, who work in the food and beverage department at the hotel.

Susannah is also studying events management at the University of Central Lancashire at Preston.

Admission is £1.50, free for children aged 10 and under.
