Police are hunting two men who hijacked a lorry in Cheshire and made the driver ditch his load for a trailer of cigarettes.
The men hijacked the lorry near junction seven of the M53 and forced the driver to stop by posing as officials.

They drove a car made up to look like an official Vehicle and Operators Service Agency vehicle.

The hijackers forced the driver to Birkenhead docks where their trailer was waiting.

He was then made to drive to Hapsford Services in Chester, where the trailer was connected to another vehicle.

The victim was abandoned in Killingholme, Lincolnshire, in a distressed state, Cheshire Police said.
