- Thomas Whitham Sixth Form’s new facilities represent a huge investment for the young adults of the local area. Coupled with the Public Library and the Faith Centre as well as our Primary partners here on the Burnley Campus, our 21st Century learning environment is truly at the heart of our local community.
After a superb recent Ofsted in July 2011 with seven Outstanding grades, our Advanced level results published later in the Summer once again demonstrated that we add extra value to all our students’ final grades. Our excellent three year ALPS score for 2009-12 has once again graded us as outstanding and places us in the top 10% of all Sixth Forms in the country.
Our Enrichment Programme also adds a great deal to the student experience - from the D of E scheme to ski lessons for beginners, from climbing to team sports, there is something for everybody. We are also particularly proud of our strong ethos of inclusion and sense of community.

This is great!

As a past pupil I loved my time at Sixth Form as not only was it an amazing learning environment and did excellent academically, it also had a fun, enjoyable element to it. There were numerous Enrichment activities on offer for us to take part in on a Wednesday afternoon – many more than most colleges and alot of whole school events, such as charity fancy dress days which brought the whole sixth form together! An amazing place to study at :)
