I'd spotted this place on the drive between our house in Todmorden and Pendle Wavelengths, the swimming pool nearest to our house with a wave machine and water slide. It's quite a nice place, but the changing rooms are rubbish - that's the swimming pool I mean, not the awesome SULAMANIA.
Described by me, to friends as "frighteningly authentic", this is the real deal curry cafe style place. I've been three times now and it just gets better. You have to work at it with this place as the dishes are pretty unique with some really amazing cooking. So order lots (it's dead cheap) and be prepared to take a few trips to find out what's best.
It's hardcore curry though. Lots of dishes on the bone, in sauce, some things come out not looking like what you'd expect - ergo the "baby food" and "monkeys head" we ended up with at one sitting. The Chapel kebabs are great too.
It's all great, the staff and regulars are very friendly, portions are good, and amazingly tasty.
Real proper hardcore Bangladesh curry in Burnley. Almost as good as Bradford :-)
