A friend recommended that I get Solar Panels on my roof to try and save some money last year, and he really was right to do so. I can't fault SolarLec for their products or service, top notch. Seems my friend also received money for recommending them to me, (which may be worth looking into if you can round up your friends) but either way I was very happy with the price I paid, the panels I had fitted have lasted fine with no problems so far and should pay for themselves soon enough! Thanks to Ged and his fantastic team for a job well done.

Loving my seemingly free electric thanks to SolarLec!

They were the most competitively priced and offered a welcoming, friendly service. They did the survey outside of work hours to make sure the survey wasn't rushed on my lunch break.

The whole job took around 1 month from initial call to install date and I couldn't be happier with my Solar System.

Solarlec installed our solar panels last May and they have been simply superb ever since. They have buzzed along making us a healthy return. Ahead of retirement, it is nice to know that our energy bills will remain low in years to come.

We have had our Solar Panels up and running for 1 month now and we are looking forward to start benefitting from the Feed-in-Tariff payments now that the longer days and brighter spring weather is here. From reading a couple of bad reviews online, I felt the need to come on and give some balance. Solarlec's customer service was great, their workmanship second to none. We have had a few people knock-on the door trying to sell solar pv to us, however from first appointment, the energy advisor explained everything.

The tradesmen were quick and tidy which is important as I am busy with work and don't want to be unduly put out - they are not the cheapest but you generally get what you pay for, the service needed to be spot on and so far it has been. Well done Solarlec!

We had been worried about reliability from our Solar Panel installer before we've chose them as so many have gone bankrupt or disappeared near us recently. Thankfully, Solarlec not only offered great consultation from our Energy advisor, but they gave us the peace of mind being a larger company. They were not the cheapest, but the quality of the workmanship and peace of mind more than justified the extra cost.

Solarlec installed solar panels on my house at the end of 2012. Despite the adverse weather, the work was carried out quickly and to a high standard and my solar panels produce electricity in all conditions. The salesman and all the staff I encountered were incredibly professional and helpful.

Overall I'd recommend them to anybody

We just had to write and commend your company and especially the installation team of Craig, Hedley and especially Michael, surveyor and electrician, on the wonderful job they have done today on fitting our 14 solar panels and getting us up and running.

Six hours from start to finish – they could teach many other tradesmen a thing or two about real graft.  Craig and Hedley were efficient and professional and made it look so easy, which we are sure it wasn’t! They even declined all offers of food and drink so they could crack on with the job.

Michael Bailey is a credit to your company and to professionalism. Friendly, efficient and dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction, he was so helpful throughout the whole process.  He knew our wiring job from roof space to meter (in a 100 yr old terraced house) was going to be tricky so he came and did the job himself rather than to a less experienced colleague. He did a fabulous, very neat job and hid the cabling really well.

We are absolutely thrilled that we are now producing our own electricity!

We have no hesitation in recommending you to all our friends and family.

Bankers don’t deserve bonuses but Michael, Craig and Hedley certainly do!

Keep up the good work.

Hi, after studying the production of electricity by solar panels on my bungalow roof for quite some time I invited several companies to survey and quote for my needs. Of the companies that showed an interest only Solarlec seemed interested in ensuring I had all the answers I needed to make a decision. Dan was the salesman / advisor who came to see me and whilst obviously speaking from a well practiced script he was able to answer all my questions and was very friendly. He carried out a brief survey then proceded to illustrate on paper what my roof was capable of producing and at what cost. He talked through the likely life of the various items and thier likely maintenance needs. Following the Government bombshell on the 31st Oct, we made the decision to place the order on 1st Nov with Susan Atkinson (sales manager), a deposit was paid. The next day Michael the survey manager came and did a detailed survey of the bungalow and where everything could / would be positioned, again he was very well informed and keen to ensure I understood all aspects of both the generation and management of the energy, again a pleasant experience. An installation date was agreed of Sunday 6th Nov, we were told the team would be with us just after 7 am, and sure enough at 7-20 they were here. The 4 guys were all friendly, neat in thier work and ensured I understood what they were doing and why. Apart from a small issue where cardboard waste was put in the wrong bin they left at 1-15pm leaving no evidence of their visit, apart from a well installed 20 panel 3.9Kwh (max) system, producing at that point 2.4Kwh of electricity. I have since decided that the location of the generation meter and associated switchgear is not to my liking and after conversation with Dan, (their technical whiz and very approachable) I am having the units moved at a date of my chosing. I have found the whole experience of dealing with the various members of the Solarlec team from Leanne on telephone reception to Dan (the technical whiz) and everyone in between to be friendly, informed and true to their word (rare these days) and I can truthfully and honestly recomend them to any prospective customer.Regards Alz1001.

Money grabbing ********

Got a quote from them on Saturday (the Saturday before the announcement of the tarrif change on December 12th).
Decided to accept the quote on Wednesday and they will not honour the quote because they can get more money, because demand has gone through the roof!!!!
If this is the service before they get your hard earned money then what will the customer service be like after they have the money!!!!!

Very disapoined in the attitude of the Managing Director of the firm in Lancashire

Within a day the installation team completed all the work fixing the panels and finishing all the electrical work. The team were very neat and tidy and the work was completed to my satisfaction with no mess was left.
The Electrician also helped me to fill in feed-in-tariff form and I am very happy with the work & behaviour of all of team – best wishes to the company.
