THERE were high scores, centuries and close finishes in abundance in the Mewies Solicitors Craven and District Cricket League.
Leaders Crossflatts were joined in top spot by Thornton.
The Booth Bridge Laners were at home to Bingley Congs and rattled up 203-6, with new recruit from Earby, Andrew Jagger, scoring an impressive 94 not out, and Kev Pollard making 45.
The Beckfoot side replied with 169 as Marc Laycock took 7-48 off 15.3 overs.
Cononley dragged themselves off the bottom of the table as they took on fellow strugglers Barrowford in South Craven.
Barrowford posted a highly respectable 238-3 in their overs, with Australian Benno Schliker scoring 120 not out and Nic Burton 49.
The home side's reply was always on course, thanks to Andrew Starkey (44), Freddie Osadzenko (33) and Charles Calvert (85).
A middle-order collapse looked to have snuffed out their challenge, but Willie Naylor (26 not out) and Mark Paynter took them to their first victory of the season by three wickets with just a ball to spare.
In the Second Division, Foulridge were undeterred by the prospect of chasing down a mammoth total.
Visitors Long Lee crashed 285-3 in their innings, with James Wilkinson scoring a superb 147 not out, Richard Wilkinson 57 and Paul Stowell 46.
Aussie Brendan O'Keefe smote 146 not out, to go with Chris Brooker-Carey's 114, as the Noyna side cruised home.
Ingrow St John's slumped to a 76-run defeat to visitors Pendle Forest.
In the Third Division, Ingrow St Johns seconds won by 65 runs at Barrowford.
Eldwick and Gilstead have moved up to third in the Fourth Division after crushing Pendle Forest seconds by 67 runs at Fence.
Thornton seconds beat Haworth by 111 runs at Booth Bridge Lane.
Steve Laycock (71), Mark Bower (60 not out) and Tim Gates (5-35) were the stars for the winners.
In the Fifth Division, Cononley seconds enjoyed a crushing 148-run victory at Pendle Forest thirds.
The South Craveners scored 209, as F. Coward took 5-56 and G. Phillip 4-37, but the Fence side were back in the hut for just 61.
Eldwick and Gilstead seconds saw off the challenge of Foulridge seconds.
Arnold Rastrick (68) and C. Radcliffe (62 not out) helped the homesters to 207-5 in their overs, and the Noyna side replied with 147, as Radcliffe took 3-28 and veteran Brian Haigh 5-29 off nine overs.
