NELSON completed the first part of a possible league and cup double when they won the LT Cup Final for the first time in 14 years.

An eight-wicket victory over Todmorden saw Colin Pemberton's men make hay while the Seedhill sun shone.

Will Lawton was the star with the ball as Todmorden were skittled for 123.

He took 3-4 in 5.1 overs and was well backed up by Thomas Lord (3-28) and the skipper with 2-30.

Lewis Bradley then helped himself to 10 boundaries in a quickfire innings of 65 as he and James Lickess shared 109 for the first wicket.

Lickess ended unbeaten on 30 at the end and although Chris Willan departed leg-before without scoring after Bradley's dismissal, Lord came in and helped Lickess see Nelson over the finishing line.
